Step 1: Create a Ringotel organisation
In your Ringotel portal, click + Add Organization button to create a new organization.
In the new organization settings, you need to provide the following information:
Organization name: This is the name of your organization.
Domain: This should be a unique domain within the Ringotel system.
Region: Choose a region that is closest to your users' location.
Once you have entered all the required details, click on the Next button to proceed.
Step 2: Create Telnyx SIP Trunk
In your Telnyx portal, create an outbound voice profile by navigating to Real-Time Communications > Voice > Settings > Outbound Voice Profiles or https://portal.telnyx.com/#/outbound-profiles
Note:
Configure the outgoing voice profile according to your requirements. Detailed configuration instructions are beyond the scope of this article.
2. Once an outbound voice profile is created, navigate to the SIP Trunking section (https://portal.telnyx.com/#/voice/connections) and create a new SIP Connection.
Give connection the name and select "Credentials" type.
In the next step, note the generated username and password, which you will need to specify in the Ringotel connection settings later in step 3.
In the Outbound settings, assign the outbound voice profile created earlier in step 2.1.
Lastly, assign your Telnyx number to the SIP connection and finish the configuration process.
Step 3: Creating a Ringotel connection
Navigate back to your Ringotel portal to complete the configuration of the connection settings.
In the connection settings switch type to “Connect to VoIP Provider”
2. In the Domain or IP address field, enter "sip.telnyx.com".
3. In the Number field, enter a phone number associated with the Telnyx SIP Connection created earlier.
Note:
The phone number must be specified in the +E164 format, e.g. +13433216828
4. Enable the Registration option and specify the Username and Password noted earlier from the Telnyx SIP Connection settings.
Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Create Ringotel users
On the last step, create Ringotel users who will be able to make and receive calls via this connection. To do this, provide the user's Display name, Username (which can be any string or extension number), and select the Add to call distribution button.
Once created, use the generated credentials to log in to your Ringotel app.
