Ringotel integration for Clio CRM offers the following features:

  • Identifies contacts on incoming and outgoing calls.

  • Automatically creates Phone Call entities for incoming and outgoing calls.

  • Syncs call subject, and call comment with the corresponding call activity record in CRM.

  • Provides links to open Phone Call and Contact entities from the Ringotel app.

  • Allows you to create contacts in CRM using the Ringotel mobile or desktop app.

  • Imports contacts from CRM into the Contact lists of Ringotel users.

Note:

For the Ringotel Record to be successfully created in Clio it needs to have the following fields filled:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Phone

  • Email

Note:

Due to the limitations on Clio`s side, you can only create Contacts in Clio from Ringotel, but not edit them. Any changes made to the Ringotel contact after its creation will NOT be reflected in Clio Contacts.

Creating a Clio Application

Before the integration can be enabled in Ringotel Shell Portal, an Application needs to be created in Clio Developer Portal.

  1. Navigate to the Clio Developer Portal and click on the New App

To access your developer account, please navigate to https://developers.clio.com/and sign in with your Clio account credentials. Once signed in, click the New Appbutton.

2. Provide the Name, Website URL and Callback URL for the App

In the new app form, specify the Redirect URL to be the URL of the Ringotel Admin Portal you are using

By default, it would be https://shell.ringotel.co/services/Clio , but if you are using another (white-labeled) URL to Access Ringotel Admin portal, you would need to adjust accordingly. The website URL can be the same as Redirect URL.

3. Make sure the following permissions are granted to the App and click Save

4. Take note of the Client ID and Client Secret generated for the App

This concludes the setup required on the Clio side, the rest is done in the Ringotel Admin Portal.

Configure Ringotel Integration

1. Sign into your Ringotel admin portal (default https://shell.ringotel.co) and navigate to an Organization→ Integrations tab → click Enable Integration on the Clio card.

2. Specify your Clio domain, Clint Id and Client Secret in the corresponding fields and click Save & Continue.

Depending on the region your organisation is in, Clio domain can be as follows:

  • au.app.clio.com

  • eu.app.clio.com

  • ca.app.clio.com

  • app.clio.com

Tip:

You can check the domain by navigating to your Clio CRM portal

7. Authenticate with a Clio account and click Allow Access to the Connect Request.

8. Map Ringotel Users onto Clio users and click Save Changes.

Now the integration should be configured for the mapped users.
